When life isn't fair, be strong

      What do you do when life hits you hard?How do you go about it, when you don't get what you wanted, after so much toiling?These are usually the thoughts running in the mind of many after experiencing setbacks in life.

      You feel like it's over. You think God has been so unfair to you. This is not the time for you to give up on that vision. It is not the right time for you to start crying over spilled milk.

     Have you ever thought about it? Why are you going through the hard times? I'm sure these thoughts were also running in the mind of Joseph while he was in the prison in Egypt. David also wondered why he was left alone in the forest to tend his Father's flock. Sarah and Hannah would also have asked questions why their womb was  closed.

    Their hard times were to build in them characters that would help them when they reach their goals. It built in them patience, sincere faith, diligence, perseverance, self-control and knowledge. These virtues were what sustained them at the peak of their life achievements. Remember before you can wear the crown,you must have carried the cross.

    There's a saying,"Tough times never last, tough people do." That trying time is a fleeting phase in your life. Just as the dry season leaves for the raining season to come. The dark season does not matter much as how you take charge of the situation. It shouldn't determine your reaction but words(confessions) that are consistent  with God's word.

    You need to be strong and be of good courage when life seems unfair. You've got to show life who is the boss because many are waiting to hear the story of how you overcame. It is not just a story of the jolly rides but that which chronicles your challenges, struggles, pain, failure and how you won it all.

When life isn't fair, you don't give up but pick your pieces and make a masterpiece out of life.
